’Mukashi Mukashi’ & ‘A New Tenant’

I was asked to contribute to the Heroes in A Half Shell: A TMNT Tribute Exhibition for Gallery Nucleus, which will be opening this Saturday.

I thought it would be fun to show Splinter and crew with Shredder’s vanquished helmet, only kicking it back to the feudal age of Japan it’s based off of. No mutations and a samurai helmet.

I grew up with the 90’s TMNT and finding out that the new Krang was no longer the campy robot kangaroo pouch with alien brain baby left me nostalgic. It felt like Krang had left his out dated model back in ‘87 for a shiny new ride, and I couldn’t help thinking it’s probably still sitting around somewhere collecting dust, overgrown with plants.

This Saturday is the opening of ‘A Saga in the Stars: A Tribute Event to a Galaxy Far, Far Away’ A Star Wars tribute show at Gallery Nucleus. My piece was about Luke’s failure in the cave on Dagobah. Check it out along with the art of some amazing artists, if you’re in the So Cal area!

The Animal Kingdom at Gallery Nucleus

This Saturday is the opening of the Animal Kingdom Art Exhibition. There’s a preview of my contribution at the top of the post, entitled ‘Ouroboros.’ Sorry I don’t have a better picture of it, my camera should be working again soon, I’ll grab a snapshot when the gallery opens. If you’re not doing anything and you’re in the SoCal Area, feel free to roll through and check out all the bomb ass artwork on display! There will be some big guns showing, so make sure to check it out!

PS I know it says you can get 15% off store items if you present this flier, but please don’t try to print out this tumblr post lol

'Daddy Why Did You Eat My Fries?'

My painting for Gallery Nucleus’ Show, ‘Oootopia: An Artgebraic Tribute To Adventure Time!’ which will be opening August 18th alongside 30 plus artists. So if you’re in SoCal, preferably the LA area roll through! You can check it out at their official page HERE

Much appreciated!
